Consuming Care Benefits through Flow

Step-by-step guide to consuming Care Plan benefits in Flow: selecting the invoice, applying exams and Instant Account Credit, and confirming the bonus discount.

    • Once the invoice is saved and ready to go in your PIMS, open your Flow Dashboard and find the patient whose benefits you’d like to consume, click on their Care tab and select “Calculate Benefits”

    • A pop up will appear on your Flow Dashboard, if you have an integrated PIMS (Cornerstone, Avimark) then the invoice should pull over from your PIMS and be in the pop up for you to select. If not, you will enter the invoice total in the provided space. Click next once complete.

  • The next tab will ask you to add any exams you want to consume + the retail price of those exams. This window will also show you how many exams the Client has remaining on their Pet’s Care Plan.

*Note: When you select + Add Exam Type, the dropdown will automatically populate with whichever exam is at the top of the list — it does not remember your last selection or default to a specific exam type. Be sure to open the dropdown and confirm you've selected the correct exam (e.g., "Doctor Visit") before entering the retail price, especially if your Plan has multiple exam types configured.*

  • Next, you’ll confirm the amount of Instant Account Credit the Client wants to use towards their invoice
    • Flow will then show you a breakdown of all benefits being consumed today, click apply benefits to continue to the next step.

  • Lastly, You’ll see a checklist pop up, reminding you to confirm that either there is no remaining balance due and the invoice is closed in your PIMS OR you’ve collected the remaining balance owed and closed the invoice.
