Care Memberships can be transferred from pet to pet under the same client account. Membership plans can be transferred to another pet as long as the receiving pet is not currently on a Care plan. Our best practice recommendation is to limit transfers to 2 circumstances:
1. The original Pet passes away
OR
2. In extenuating circumstances, such as the current pet member being re-homed while on a plan and the Client would prefer to transfer the remaining benefits to another pet of theirs that is NOT CURRENTLY ON A PLAN (instead of cancelling the plan altogether).
Any remaining benefits left + all remaining payments get transferred to the receiving pet's account.
Due to billing complications, if a pet is transferred from one client to another, the membership doesn’t transfer.
Plan Tranfer Dont's:
Membership transfers between Pet Parents (one Client to another) are NOT permitted.
