Yes! Confirmations that write back to Shepherd are done via automations only.

If I delete an appointment in Shepherd, will it be deleted in Otto? Will it still send out an automated reminder?

Yes, appointments will be deleted from Otto and automated reminders will be cancelled.

If I create a new client and/or pet in Shepherd, will they automatically show up in Otto?

Yes, new clients and new pets will sync from Shepherd to Otto in approximately 24 hours.

If I create a new client and/or pet in Otto, will they automatically sync back into Shepherd?

No, clients and pets created in Otto will not sync back into Shepherd. Create all clients and pets within Shepherd to sync them to Otto.

Do conversations export back into Shepherd?

Conversations can be manually or automatically exported from Otto into Shepherd upon completion of a chat. Exported conversations will be visible in the Patient Profile under both "Patient Files" and "Patient History"

Do payments made in Otto reflect in client balances in Shepherd?

No - payments made within Otto will not update client balances. To view payments made, navigate to the Reporting tab in the left hand menu.

Can I use Otto for my service reminders?

Yes, Service reminders are available for clinics utilizing Shepherd.

Can clients see pet vaccine data?

No, pet parents cannot view their pet’s medical history or vaccine history in their pet portal.
