To get started with sending a new message to a non-client through Otto Flow - click on the 🔍 icon in the right hand menu.
Search to see if the client exists in the database - if they are not in the database, click on Add New Client.
Add the new client by adding their First and Last name and at least one contact option, email or phone number.
Once the client is created, begin the chat (or sending the client a text message) by clicking on Start Chat from within the Client's profile.
Things to Consider:
- Clients created in Flow will not sync to the clinics Practice Management Software (PIMS). Clients will need to be created in the PIMS using the same contact information listed in Flow for the clients to merge automatically. To learn more about merging clients, click here.
- Messages sent to emails will allow clients to enter their automatically created Pet Portal for messaging purposes.
- Text message conversations will only be created if messages are NOT sent as chat messages.
