This article covers the capabilities of deleting messages as well as the permissions needed for this.
Deleting Messages in team chat
- Clinic users with an admin role can delete any team chat messages
- Any Otto user can delete their own team chat messages
Deleting messages in client conversations
- Clinic admins can delete anyone's chat to a client, internal notes, or automations
- When a message is deleted, the message also is deleted for the client inside their web browser chat
- Clinic members (non-admins) can only delete their own messages
- All clinic users do not need to be assigned to a conversation in order to delete a message
To delete a message, please follow these simple steps (screenshot below for reference):
- Go to the specific message that needs to be deleted
- Click on the three dots on the top right corner of that message
- Then select the 'Delete Message' option that appears.
