Otto Direct Booking can be set up to match your clinic’s workflow and preferences. To do this, we will need to ensure we set up two things in your Cornerstone.
Cornerstone Settings
1. Staff Hours
To get started with setting up Otto Direct Booking in Cornerstone, navigate to Controls → Appointment Scheduler → Staff Set up → Hours to set up Staff Hours for each of the providers you would like to work Direct Booking appointments. This is a required setting and determines which days of the week and times a specific staff member is accepting appointments. If this is not set up for the providers you want to use, availability returned on the Direct Booking calendar will be blank or inaccurate.
Note: The Staff Hours must be filled out AND the "Ok" button must not be outlined in blue in order for your staff member/provider's availability to sync over.
2. Are your Staff Members set up as a Doctor?
The Staff Members of your practice also need to be classified as a Doctor in Cornerstone in order to work with Otto Direct Booking. You can find this setting in Controls → Defaults → Practice and Workstation → Performance Tracker → Performance Tracker Summary → Staff Classifications. If your Office Manager, Technician or Groomer, for example, will be used for Otto Direct Booking, they must be set as “Yes” under “Doctor Classify”
